FresherImage : PaintShopPro : Working With Vectors

Paint Shop Pro 6 - Working With Vectors
Part 3: Node Modification & Curved Text
by Jacob A. Wheeler

5. Using your mouse, select the far right vertice, and notice how a vertical line extends with a circle and triangle at the end.

Now drag the selected vertice to the right, and watch the image stretch.
Vector Tool

Vector Image::Circle After you stretch the vertice to your satisfaction, select a different tool in your menu. The tool can be anything -- In this example I selected the text tool. By doing this, you get out of the Vector tool, and your change will now take effect. Notice how the image shape changes, and the color's and border automatically adjust, cool huh?

6. With the text tool still selected, move your mouse near an inner curve of the circle (as shown in the example). Notice how the text tool mouse icon changes? Click your left mouse button, and lets make some curved text!

Once the text entry form pop's up, enter the text you want to curve. Be sure to select which font, color, and text size you want at this time as well.
Vector Image::Circle

Vector Image::Circle The text will be wrapped around the outside of your object by default, so if you want to include the text on the inside, simply drag (using your pointer) the text to the inside, as I have done in this example. Making curved text using vectors is as easy as that!

Now go have some fun making weird shapes, and add some text!
