Go to Filter >> Blur >> Motion Blur and use these settings:
Angle: 0
Distance: 120
If the ends show way to much of the
lines crop the image smaller you be the judge.

Add noise again but this time use only 8 instead of 115.

Take the Circle Marquee tool and make a circle where you
would like you knot in the wood. Go to Select >> Feather
and Feather it by 10. Go to Filter >> Distort >> Wave and
keep the default setting except for where it says Amplitude in the second
box put 60 then hit enter.

Now your done, The bigger the image is the better for this wood texture.
